From Motown to the ’80s, including James Brown, BLACKFOXY‘s challenge lies in paying homage to the greatest hits of soul and funk by composing tracks infused with the unique ‘French Touch‘ carried by Klaus Basquiz’s voice. Competing with the giants of soul-funk with disco undertones is also possible for the French!
« Living together, cultural blending, peace, and humanity are the central values of their debut album, titled ‘Call Of Funk.‘ In these tough and anxious times, they felt it was essential to soothe minds, if only for a few minutes, the time of a track, the time to let go.

Batteurs Pour La Paix takes its name following the attacks of 2015, but the association is built upon an earlier community initiative.
Since 2011, Albeck Records has aimed to help young people break free from their circumstances through culture. « Albeck » named after a neighborhood in Grande-Synthe on the outskirts of Dunkirk, directly relates to the personal history of its founder, Kalid BAZI. He discovered music at the age of 11, thanks to the gift of a drum kit that kept him from « hanging out on the streets » and allowed him to build confidence.
2011 is also the year of the co-creation, with Klaus BLASQUIZ, singer of MAGMA, of the band BLACKFOXY, the musical backbone of Batteurs Pour La Paix, now composed of nine musicians.
Shocked by the reactions of some of his close ones to the terrorist attacks that hit France, Kalid BAZI and Klaus BLASQUIZ initially wanted to find a way to break the prevailing gloom and bring people together around a unifying project, creating the event ‘On Bat Pour La Paix‘ (We Drum For Peace). »
